Daniel Rosenne brings to Lions Peak more than 40 years experience in the telecommunications field, including research and development, technology, operations, business, management, regulation and policy.

Daniel served as Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Communication from 1997 to 2001, responsible for telecommunication policy and regulation. Prior to that, Daniel founded and was President and CEO of Bezeq International Ltd., Israel’s leading facility based international telecommunications services provider. His previous experience includes positions as Corporate Vice President for Technology and Business Development at Tadiran Telecommunications Ltd., a major telecommunication manufacturer (later, the company merged with ECI Telecom), and Vice President for Engineering and Planning at Bezeq, the Israel Telecommunication Corporation Ltd. He served for 25 years in the Israel Defense Forces, retiring with the rank of Colonel.

Daniel’s extensive professional experience includes being Chairman of Standards Institution of Israel Central IT Standardization Committee, responsible for Israeli standardization in telecommunications, broadcasting and information technology (since 2003).

Daniel was the Founder and Chairman of the Israeli Broadband Telecommunications Research and Development consortium, developing generic future broadband and optical technologies (1993-1996). Daniel was a member of various public committees on technology, telecommunications and broadcasting issues, heading several of these committees.

Mr. Rosenne received a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel (1969) and an MA degree in business administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel (1984). Daniel was awarded the Kaplan Prize (1975) and the Israel Defense Prize Citation (1979).
